Inclusion and Love: An intimate chat on making space for everyone

  • Hills of Peace Lutheran Curch 695 Robson Drive Kamloops, BC, V2E 2B4 Canada (map)

Everyone has a sexual orientation and gender identity.

Are you a community elder, a leader, an organizer, or faith practitioner in #Kamloops or nearby? The Morgane Oger Foundation is hosting a conversation group of leaders, influencers, and elders to chat about inclusion and love in celebration of the 2nd Annual Kamloops Pride Parade.

A unique opportunity to join Morgane Oger in a roundtable conversation over an afternoon snack on Saturday from 2 to 4. We are graciously being hosted by Hills of Peace Lutheran Church in Kamloops, and registration is requested for everyone who wishes to participate.

We will be chatting in a minimally-curated format about supporting persons facing stigmatization or marginalization over who they are and who they love - with an emphasis on sexual orientation or gender identity - to touch on the challenges brought to the surface when we are centering of community and inclusion.

It will be a safe space where all kind and thoughtful ideas will be welcome. A pre-requisite to being at this event is the ability to be non-confrontational and open to appropriately-presented ideas or questions related to inclusion in this LGBTQ2+ - centered event.

Please, join me.

Interested parties are invited to email me at executive.director@ogerfoundation.ca to sign up.

The Morgane Oger Foundation works to narrow the gap between Canada's human rights laws and the lived experiences on the ground of people in marginalized communities through education, advocacy, and legal mechanisms.
